Medical Equipment Ministry

Medical Equipment Ministry

The South Shore Trinity’s Medical Equipment Ministry provides medical and mobility equipment to anyone in need, without eligibility requirements or an application process. Staffed by volunteers, they will meet with you and help you get the items you need, to use as long as needed.

Whether long- or short-term, our church staff and/or volunteers will be happy to discuss your needs, assist with selection and fitting, and send you home with the equipment you need to safely and comfortably navigate your community and home.

How It Works

  • Contact the church office (651-429-4293) to set up a time to come in.

  • Fill out a release form.

  • Receive your item(s).

  • Use them as long as needed.

  • Return them to South Shore Trinity when no longer needed.

Available Equipment

The Medical Equipment Ministry offers a wide variety of equipment. Inventory is always changing, and depending on availability, items include:

  • Walkers

  • Canes

  • Crutches

  • Wheelchairs

  • Shower Chairs

  • Commodes and elevated toilet seats

* Electric wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and other motorized equipment is not available.

Because most of our equipment is donated, our stock varies widely from week to week. For items in limited supply, we recommend calling ahead to make sure we have your item in stock.

Making A Donation

The Medical Equipment Ministry is also accepting donations of new and gently-used medical equipment items, including all of the items mentioned above. Items that cannot be accepted include such things as hospital beds, institutional-sized equipment too big for home use, and disposable medical supplies, other than incontinence supplies for home use.

We offer this equipment free of charge, but realize people do like to show their appreciation by making a donation. Because this is volunteer run, and uses donations, any money donated would go to cover any sort of repairs or purchasing items that are needed.

Financial donations can be made with cash, check, to the office, or by credit/debit card through by clicking here. We do not accept insurance.

Maintaining and Returning the Equipment

You are responsible for the ongoing maintenance of your item, including safe storage and replacing batteries.

You’re welcome to use the equipment for as long as you need it, but in order to help as many people as possible, we ask that all items be returned when no longer needed.
