Here at MOPS, we gather and support moms. We believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together. Our acronym stands for “Mothers of Preschoolers” because we began in 1973 when a group of moms with young children banded together to share their lives and parenting journeys. Over the past 45 years, MOPS has expanded our community to include moms with school-aged kids.
MOMSnext will shape you, ground you, teach you and encourage you. MOMSnext moms are going to be leading PTAs, starting groups, serving in churches, praying for schools, connecting with the community. They are entering a time of life where God wants them to thrive. It’s time for them to look up and see their bright future. Our hope is that MOMSnext will help moms hear God’s voice and look ahead together.
At SST, we partner with MOPS, helping meet moms where they are at, and build their faith community, walking along and supporting our fellow moms, from the early ages of newborn to the soon-to-be-empty-nesters.
Both MOPS and MOMSnext groups will meet the second and fourth SATURDAYs of the month, from 10:00am-12:00pm, where we share a devotion based off the yearly theme.
We will also plan to do various fundraisers throughout the year to help raise funds for food, and extra events.
Cost is $32/year base for the MOPS International membership fee. (Upgraded MOPS international memberships are available for an additional cost.) Space is limited. Financial assistance is available to those who need it. Please contact Group Leader Trista to receive a discount/scholarship.
